Considerable media interest
The Industry 4.0 exhibit "SmartBridge" caught the attention of the press
The overall fair topic “Industry 4.0” was channeled into a special exhibit called “Smart Bridge”, which showed the results of a technological concept study. The innovativeparameterization of sensors via tablet and smartphone, and the aesthetically ambitious design of the exhibit created amazement among visitors and press alike. Consequently, many journalists visited our booth, and also attended the Pepperl+Fuchs press breakfast to gather more information and insights.
Here, our management answered questions revolving around Industry 4.0, our newly introduced signal conditioner family SC-System, and the R2100, the world’s first Multi-Beam LED Scanner with Pulse Ranging Technology. The new technologies and products created such interest at the HANNOVER MESSE 2014 that Pepperl+Fuchs was included inGerman news broadcasts like “Tagesschau” and “Landesschau”.

Aside from a delegation of the EU, Baden-Wurttemberg’s Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann, Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Nils Schmid, and Mannheim’s Lord Mayor Dr. Peter Kurz spent time with us.

Passionately explaining automation
Our highly motivated fair team, consisting of colleagues from various departments, made sure that a visit to our booth was helpful to every guest. In detailed talks and on guided tours, they introduced the broad portfolio of automation products by Pepperl+Fuchs. Taking personal control was the motto when it came to our “Play Industrial Automation” exhibits, which transferred technical details and product benefits in a playful way. Everyone who was still searching for more physical activity found an outlet among our fair give-aways like hula-hoops and Pepperl+Fuchs footballs.
The Human Resources team took care of fair guests looking for career opportunities while our technical experts attended “Tec2You”, a development initiative of the association New Automation, to introduce basic functional principles of products to children and youth. Additionally, those who could not make it to the fair for had the chance to follow all the events on our Twitter accounts that covered the HMI 2014.
Pepperl+Fuchs thanks all the visitors for their lively interest and pleasant conversations. We already look forward to welcoming you on upcoming fairs.
